For over 40 years, the Electric Cooperative Youth Tour has opened the eyes of over 40,000 high school students to the value of active citizenship. Students in the program have the opportunity to interact with over 1,500 of their peers from around the country. The cost of the trip is paid by Logan County Electric Cooperative, and includes transportation, lodging, and meals as well as tickets and admissions while on the tour. The students’ only out-of-pocket expenses will be for souvenirs, film, or personal items.

Logan County Electric Cooperative awards four scholarships each spring to outstanding seniors planning to attend college. The students are members' children and are selected by an application and interview process. The young man and young woman chosen to receive the top two awards in Logan County are then eligible to compete with students from the 24 other electric cooperatives in Ohio for additional scholarship money - up to an additional $2,800! The top two winners each receive $1,000 locally, and second place winners in each division receive $500.
